Get A Tattoo.... Or Don't

You're in a tattoo shop anxiously waiting to get your next(or first) tattoo. You sign the papers and miss a few spots due to the nervous excitement, you sit in the oddly comfortable couch next to your best friend listening to the loud unusual music and wondering when it'll be your turn. Soon enough your artist comes up to tell you he's ready, you walk behind the counter and sit on an abnormally large chair. He places the stencil on your arm and begins his beautiful work. The pain is almost obsolete, almost just a sting, but you can feel the vibrations through out your whole body. He takes his time with the sharp lines and shading. You watch as he permanently puts bright yellow into your skin. Reassuringly he says "oh don't worry, it will look more yellow, thats just the blood"... yeah reassuringly... Every once in awhile another artist walks by complementing the artists ability or confirming your choice of tattoo. He's finishing up when you realize your whole arm has gone numb and the vibration is gone from your body. You go home and excitedly show your roommate your new tattoo and she loves it. You're in awe of how beautiful the yellow looks on your skin and how amazingly shaded the flower is. You can't stop taking sneak peaks of it all night.
Today this is what I experienced. Every detail that in that paragraph above is what I love about getting tattooed. All the way down to the sting and the smell of what I assume is the ink. I love it all. I crave it all. The adrenaline, the complements, the energy, the excitement, everything becomes an addiction. It's one of the few things that make me happy and excited. It's something I look forward to , something I'm proud to show off.
Find that thing. Find that thing in your life that gives you that excitement. Find it and embrace it. It could be dancing, rock climbing, knitting, running, even learning about the Gospel. Anything. It could be multiple things. Yoga, football, reading, learning, cooking. Anything that helps you stay another day. Anything that makes you look forward to another day, not just to get through the day. Something that you are proud of and something you want to share with the world. Do it. Do it all the time. Do it everyday if you'd like. Do it with passion, love and confidence and screw anyone who disagrees with you. You do you girl(or boy)
Oh and most importantly, don't judge other people for doing what makes them happy
